Great Easter...with no pictures

Well, I had a great Easter weekend, but completely forgot to take pictures. My sister Anne flew in on Thursday morning last week and got to spend some quality time with James on Thursday and Friday when Mommy and Daddy went to work. I also got to spend some time with Anne during the evenings. James of course loves his Aunt Anne or more like Aunt Ain (as pronounced by him). We overall had a pretty low key weekend. Friday afternoon, I got off work a little early at 3:00, so went home and Anne, James and I went to Target to do some shopping and then we met Alex for dinner. Anne and I then rented a few movies and watched Battlestar Galactica:Razor. It was very good, and yes we know we are nerds, but it was still Awesome! Saturday was marked with a trip to Borders, in which James was not shy of telling everyone in the store that he was looking for his Aunt Ain.

Saturday night, Anne and I went out for a girls night on the town. First, we say Doomsday, which if you are in the least bit queasy or offended by offensive language, this is NOT the movie for you. The premise of the story, is a little Mad Max like. In the present day, a "Reaper" virus develops in Scotland and since they can't control it, they essentially rebuild Hadrian's Wall, and quarantine all Scotland and leave them to die. Flash 30 years forward virus shows up in London, little girl who escaped on a helicopter from Scotland is now a bad a*s cop and she goes back in to find the cure, since it appears there are survivors. Like I said, alot of shooting, dying and blood. All in all it was actually quite good if you are in to this kind of movie.

After the movie, we headed downtown for dinner. Kansas City recently opened a Power & Light District Downtown. All sorts of new restaurants and bars. I wanted to try out the Raglan Road Irish Pub. We thoroughly enjoyed the menu, appetizers, main course and desert and then stayed for a while to enjoy the live music.

Easter Sunday, James got into his Easter Basket and figured out there was candy in those plastic eggs in no time at all. Daddy ended up having to empty them because James had attempted to eat a Peppermint Patty with the wrapping on. Then Jo came over for brunch, and we had a nice relaxing Sunday.

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend and I am sorry I forgot to take pictures.
FYI: No news from DFAS yet.

Sounds like a great calm weekend... we had a similar calm weekend (though my students didn't! Give me a call sometime and I'll explain).
